Most digital communication solutions require you to deliver an iOS and an Android app to your clients. Each solution is unique and the mobile apps that serve it should be equally unique. However, that doesn’t mean that you have to create a native app from scratch for every solution.
The Liquid Gears Platform provides you with pre-made, generic, “empty” native mobile apps for iOS and Android. These native apps support a range of functionality to make use of the capabilities of the devices they are created for, for example: receive push notifications, prompt users to select photos or documents, and work offline.
Native Navigation – HTML5 Content
A fully realised mobile app built on the Liquid Gears Platform is essentially a hybrid app.
The primary navigation controls are realised by the native app, maintaining the native behaviour and interactions that users of modern mobile devices are accustomed to. We believe this is critical to a good user experience.
These iOS and Android apps are therefore a structural foundation, ready to power any experience, interface or content you wish to offer to end users. The main content area of the mobile app is comprised of one or more Integrated Web Apps. This provides both flexibility and fast performance.
Desktop Devices
Mobile devices have several advantages for delivering a digital product: they live in the end user’s pocket, working anywhere whether users have a wifi or 4G connection, or are offline in a remote area. By easily creating mobile apps for iOS and Android, the Liquid Gears platform makes your solutions ubiquitous across mobile devices.
On desktop devices, it is important to strive for that same ubiquity. Whether the end user is at home, at work, or away, they should be able to access your solution. On desktop platforms, be it Windows, macOS or Linux, it doesn’t get more ubiquitous than web apps.
As mentioned, the main content areas of the mobile apps are created using HTML5. The Liquid Gears platform enables you to repurpose this work to deliver desktop web apps that are accessible in any desktop web browser.
